Get Ripped with the Cam Gigandet Workout

by Jordan on August 31, 2009

Every guy wants that perfect body that every girl wants.  The six pack and the muscles.  One guy who has this is Cam Gigandet.  Here is his secret.

NEVER BACK DOWN

cam-gigandet

It was a movie that was released in 2008.  It is about: at his new high school, a rebellious teen Jake Tyler is lured into an ultimate underground fighting club in a Backyard Fight, where he finds a mentor.  The fighting is similar to the fighting in UFC.  After receiving threats to the safety of his friends and family, and the jokes about the passing of his father, Jake trains his mind and body for one final fight with his unrelenting personal nemesis and local martial arts champion Ryan McCarthy.

CAM GIGANDET

never-back-down

He plays Ryan McCarthy in Never Back Down. Cam is ripped out of his mind and shows in the movie that he can fucking fight!  He beats the shit out of guys that are huge.  In the movie, Cam is more cut than he is big.  He walks around and does not even need to flex to show his 8-pack, yes 8-pack!  Every fucking guys goal.  Cam had 3% body fat in the movie which is ridiculous!  What is the secret, here it is:

Reps Range From 20-30 reps on all exercises.  These reps make you “cut”.

Those were the weights he used.  Use weight that suits you and within time you will increase the weight little by little.

Also you can add your own workouts into this one, just remember that the more reps you do the more cut you will become!

DIET

neverbackdownpic8

Cam Gigandet stated: “A basic workout with a dialed in nutrition will give phenomenal results.”

Cam incorporated these foods into his diet to get that “cut” physique:

  • Spinach
  • Broccoli
  • Berries
  • Almonds
  • Eggs
  • Meat

Cam also had four protein meals a day which helped with his “cut” physique.

This is Cam Gigandet’s workout and the way he developed his “cut” body.  It worked for him so it should work for most people.  Follow his workout and EAT HEALTHY!  Girls love the six pack and a guy who is ripped!  Girls like these:

Who knows this can be you one day:

This workout looks great I`m starting it today but I`m adding a barbell benchpress to make my pecs bigger faster and on friday you can add abs and obliques. one really good oblique excersice I found is the dumbell side bend. take one dumbell in one hand and bend slightly over to that side (side bend) but don`t hurt you back while doing it. it`ll grow your obliques super fast and you can start at pretty high weight (40 – 50) butit`s not necessary to over work your body. abs on the other hand, I would suggest cardio workouts to burn fat but you`ll need to combince this with sit-ups or crunches or what whatever. a good cardio workout: HIIT
Measure you running speed from 1-10, one being really slow and ten being a sprint. start at around 6-8 of a run for one minute and then for half a minute run at 9-10, then repeat this 6-10 times. when you frst start, go with six reps and work up to 10. and remember, out door running has better effects than running on a treadmill!

Hey guys, I workout everyday for about 2 hours for the last 3 months and iv’e put on about 6 lbs of muscle. The problem is i don’t eat near enough, maybe 1,500 calories a day and nothing before workout just because of my schedule. I just don’t have the knowledge on what to eat to look like this. If anyone could give me a strict diet that would be great!

Alex March 31, 2010 at 4:38 pm

CHASE… Bananas and almonds kick stomach fat and helpout with you abs. Dont eat to many of the almonds tho or else it turns to fat. Two handfulls should do it for snack. As for the rest of the food, ALWAYS eat a healthy breakfast. I myself like to eat an omelet with bacon and cheese, a little bowl of fruit, some OJ and milk. Eat every 2.5-3 hours. Im trying really hard to get a 6pack so Im doing all I can. So just eat healthy buddy and youll be good to go. VEggies, fruit and lean meat like chicken and beef. No fast food or chips or anything. And kick up your calorie intake to 2500. Thats like me and I seem to be doin pretty good. So yeah man, goodluck!

Chase March 31, 2010 at 10:28 pm

Alex…thanks a ton bro! Ya I never eat breakfast at all so I will most def start on that. Thanks for all the tips! Eating every 3 hours, I’ve never been told that so I will start that to, thanks again!

Is this work out done in super sets or just sets and what is the rest period if it is done in sets?

Alex.M May 2, 2010 at 9:58 pm

i’m only 13 and i myself is in really good shape and my PE teacher trains me for my core, biceps, and triceps. Eat healthy, stay cool and don’t do drugs, have a good example on minors like me I guess. Thank for reading

Tyler May 4, 2010 at 4:16 pm

Stephen, Its 45,50,55 reps not pounds.. find a weight that is suitable for you to do that many reps

Nir May 20, 2010 at 3:57 pm

LOL , do you realise that you can’t be in a state of 3 % bodyfat for more than 4-5 hours without dying? show day on stage of bodybuilders they are around 3.5 % bodyfat and immediatly after the show they binge on food because of that same reason i mentioned above! Cam is more like around 6-7% bodyfat and I bet you he is in depleted state also which gives you even dryer look.
I’m now around 8 % bodyfat myself and when depleted I look more shredded than he does.. I’ve gone from 16 % to 8ish % bodyfat in 2 and a half month doing the cyclical ketogenic diet. 5 days of fat-protein with carbs from green vegetables and 36 hours of refeed full with carb cheats consisting of high glycemic and low glycemic carbs. Thats the best diet there is period.
His diet looks alot like that but without the fats and the carbups..
Anyway gl to everyone whos after that ripped look he got. It’s a long hard way but rewarding eventually!
His diet looks alot like the keto diet

Tom May 29, 2010 at 9:32 am

Tyler the 45 50 55 are pounds… at the end of the schedule it says : “Reps Range From 20-30 reps on all exercises. These reps make you “cut”.”

Alex June 22, 2010 at 2:27 am

Yeah dude sure thing!

patrick June 23, 2010 at 5:17 pm

Deon July 27, 2010 at 11:39 pm

Yes hi im 17, and im about 124 pounds and 5,6 anyways im trying to get lean like this and get that toned ripped look I mean just like Cam gigadent I mean im lean naturally but I want my body to be ripped like his and so can someone time me a good diet plan please thank you ^^

Christian September 9, 2010 at 7:43 am

there are no workouts that show him working his abs because you don’t really need to work your abs if you have LOW LOW LOW body fat. If you have low body fat, they show naturally. You shouldn’t need to flex. but if you work on them hard enough(not too hard) and right then you can still have some room for a little bit of excess body fat and still show off that pretty little washboard. ..LIKE ME! :D but remember…muscles need rest to regenerate and come back stronger. So,it’s not really a smart idea to work the hell out of them everyday necessarily.

Mike September 15, 2010 at 10:39 pm

It’s kinda funny but his “workout” doesn’t involve legs. Hmm…

Martin Salinas October 26, 2010 at 5:37 pm

To everyone who says this doesn’t work….. It does work if you eat exactly how the diet states. Diet is 80% of the results. Do the diet and i guarantee this workout will show amazing results. Of course genetics is key to having an 8pack but 6 is enough. Also, if you have a larger body frame you will look bigger due to your mass.

anon October 29, 2010 at 4:35 am

this “workout” is so full of garbage…dosent work legs, not many heavy compound mass movements, aaaand only 10yr old bicep curl jockeys would actually follow this…and lol @ him being 3% bodyfat, more like 8%. ha ha

mikey November 15, 2010 at 8:22 pm

its bullshit that he is 8% mush.. if im only 7.6% and only half as ripped as that ha ha muppet

ajmal November 27, 2010 at 2:19 pm

i think that cam is in extremley good shape however i would like to know how to get in that shape starting from basics to getting that cut loook help???

Shane December 22, 2010 at 2:46 pm

I have an extra 10 or so lbs of fat. Should I start this workout/diet anyway? I feel like I need more cardio than this diet offers. Any advice would be great.
